Church Plants and Partnerships
We want to play our part in seeing a thriving church within reach of everyone in north london and beyond. As a church planted ourselves in 2011 from HTB, church planting and revitalisation is in our DNA.
Our Vicar, Jon March, was recently appointed Sub Dean for Church Planting in the Camden deaneries. The Diocese of London, as part of Capital Vision 2020, is working towards establishing 100 new worshipping communities. We want to play our part in seeing that realised through prayer, training pioneering leaders, designating funds specifically for church planting, and working with our Bishops to see and take the opportunities to plant whenever they arise.
Jon and Hannah Finch are planting St Mary's Southampton, a resourcing church being planted by the Diocese of Winchester and HTB, in partnership with St Luke's. Jon was on staff at St Luke's for 3 years as an ordinand when we planted and then remained a further 3 years as our curate. They have spent a year at HTB in accelerated church planting training, and will take a small team, some of whom are from St Luke's, to launch at the end of September 2018. We love these guys, and are really excited to see all that God will do with them and the church there.
