ABOUT ST LUKE'S

St Luke's is a growing Anglican church in the heart of Kentish Town, planted from Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB). We are passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, and find a place to belong within the family of God.

Over the past few years we have seen encouraging growth across many areas of church life, including our children, youth, worship, and community ministries. We believe God is calling us to invest deeply in the next generation and are looking for the right person to help shape that journey.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you passionate about seeing young people encounter Jesus and grow in faith?

Do you enjoy building relationships, developing leaders, creating community, and helping young people discover their God-given purpose?

We are looking for a Youth & Church Life Leader who will take ownership of our youth ministry while playing a key role in the wider life of the church.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a growing ministry, build strong relationships with young people and families, develop volunteers, and help create environments where faith can flourish.

Working closely with our Kids & Families Leader and wider staff team, you will help create a seamless discipleship journey for young people as they grow within the life of the church.

This role would suit an experienced youth worker, an emerging ministry leader, a ministry trainee looking for their next step, or someone sensing a call to church leadership and discipleship.

ABOUT THE YOUTH MINISTRY

Our youth meet regularly throughout the year across several key rhythms:

Weekly

Sunday Youth
Bible study, discussion, prayer, and discipleship during the Sunday service.

Horizon
A Friday night drop-in and social space where young people can build friendships, explore faith, and invite friends.

Termly

Youth Team Gatherings
Worship, prayer, training, encouragement, and planning with volunteer leaders.

Half-Termly

Youth Socials
Trips and activities such as crazy golf, cinema outings, climbing, meals, and seasonal events.

Annually

  • Youth Weekend Away

  • Focus Festival

  • Supporting Holiday Club and helping children transition into youth ministry

The young people in our group are curious, thoughtful, highly relational, and eager to engage with the big questions of life and faith. They value leaders who are authentic, approachable, and willing to journey alongside them.

THE ROLE

We are seeking someone who will:

  • Lead, grow, and develop the Youth Ministry in line with the vision of St Luke's.

  • Build meaningful relationships with young people and their families.

  • Create engaging environments where young people can encounter Jesus, ask questions, and grow in faith.

  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders.

  • Help develop a culture of discipleship and belonging.

  • Work closely with the Kids & Families Leader to support children transitioning into youth ministry.

  • Support the wider life of the church through events, hospitality, Sunday services, and community activities.

  • Champion safeguarding and best practice across all youth activities.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to bring ideas, shape culture, and make a lasting impact.
